ISIS Farmhouse Wedding | Fun & Chaos ft Patricia & Charlie

ISIS Farmhouse Wedding

ISIS Farmhouse Wedding Photography: Charlie & Patricia’s Wild Celebration, Captured By Joshua Haken & Peter Haken

I’m a Wedding Photographer based in Oxfordshire and I had the pleasure of shooting Charlie & Patricias ISIS Farmhouse Wedding. Some weddings stick to a rigid timeline, every detail planned to perfection. Charlie and Patricia’s wedding at the ISIS Farmhouse in Oxford was not one of those weddings—and that’s what made it so unforgettable. This was a day of spontaneity, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos.

Two Receptions, Two Countries

Charlie and Patricia didn’t stop at one wedding reception. Their celebrations spanned two countries, starting with a reception in Spain with Patricia’s family and then another in the UK with Charlie’s family. Each event brought its own unique energy and meaning. By the time they reached the ISIS Farmhouse for the UK festivities, they had already celebrated their love in two very different but equally special ways. It wasn’t the most conventional choice, but it fit them perfectly.

ISIS Farmhouse Wedding: Rustic & Relaxed

The lack of a strict timeline meant the day unfolded naturally, and the photos reflect that raw, unpolished joy.

My dad, Peter Haken, was also part of the team for this wedding, capturing the day as the videographer. Peter runs Swanky Wed, a wedding videography business, and together, we made sure every heartfelt and fun-filled moment was documented. It’s always a pleasure to work alongside him to create a comprehensive visual story of the day.

Charlie’s turn in the spotlight

The highlight of the night? Charlie grabbing his guitar and joining his band to play for the guests. Watching the groom take the stage and pour his energy into the music was something else.

The dancefloor stayed packed, and the vibe was electric as the music carried on well into the night. It was less of a traditional wedding and more like the best gig you’ve ever been to—just with fancier outfits. As an Oxford wedding photographer who lives on a Narrowboat along the River Thames, an ISIS Farmhouse Wedding is a dream. A memorable part of the gig for me was when the best man’s son got on the stage and started shredding the drums, he stayed on stage for quite a few songs and the wedding guests loved it. The courage of that young lad was phenomenal.

A Day To Remember

Charlie and Patricia’s wedding wasn’t about following the rulebook; it was about celebrating in a way that felt right for them. It was messy, unpredictable, and full of life. If anything, it’s a reminder that weddings don’t have to be perfect—they just have to be real.

If you’re looking for an Oxford wedding photographer who can capture the heart of your day—chaos and all—get in touch. Whether it’s a relaxed riverside venue like the ISIS Farmhouse or another beautiful Oxfordshire location, I’d love to help you tell your story.
