As a Lains Barn wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure to return to this beautiful Oxfordshire venue, and Tasha & Oliver’s wedding was no exception. Their day was filled with laughter, emotion, and unforgettable moments – all set against the rustic charm of one of the county’s most iconic barns.

A Unique Collaboration with Rhona Davie

This wedding was a little different for me, as I had the pleasure of working alongside the talented Rhona Davie, another exceptional wedding photographer. Together, we documented every part of Tasha & Oliver’s day – from the quiet morning preparations to the high-energy dancing at night – capturing it all from two unique perspectives.

An Emotional Ceremony at Lains Barn

Tasha & Oliver tied the knot inside the main barn at Lains Barn, a space that never fails to impress. With the warm wooden beams, fairy lights, and a packed crowd of family and friends, the ceremony had a magical, emotional atmosphere. You could really feel the love in the room – there wasn’t a dry eye by the end.

A Quiet Moment for the Newlyweds

After the ceremony, Tasha & Oliver took a few precious minutes to themselves. We stepped away for a short couple’s portrait session while they enjoyed a glass of champagne and soaked in the first few moments of married life. It was a lovely pause before the excitement of the confetti shot, which took place just outside the iconic barn doors – a classic moment at any Lains Barn wedding.

Drinks, Canapés, and Garden Vibes

Guests mingled in the barn’s beautiful garden area for drinks and canapés, enjoying the relaxed countryside setting and warm sunshine. This part of the day always brings some of the best candid shots – hugs, laughter, and natural interactions that really tell the story of the day.

Candlelit receptions can sometimes pose a challenge for photographers, but the barn’s soft, golden glow offered an enchanting backdrop for this celebration. By carefully positioning my equipment and adapting to the low-light setting, I preserved the atmosphere while ensuring Sarah and Dan’s images remained vivid and clear.

Dinner, Speeches, and a Special Band

Back inside the barn, the space was beautifully set for the wedding breakfast. Tasha & Oliver’s guests enjoyed a delicious meal followed by heartfelt speeches that had everyone either laughing or reaching for tissues (sometimes both).

As the sun set, the evening celebrations kicked off with a live band that held a special place in the couple’s hearts – a personal touch that brought so much energy and joy to the dance floor
