Sarah & Dan’s special celebration by Joshua Haken

Are you planning a wedding at Ufton Court in Berkshire and looking for some inspiration? As a dedicated Ufton Court Wedding Photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing Sarah and Dan’s special day. It was a stunning wedding from start to finish, with outdoor vows, delicious canapés, candlelit dining, and plenty of fun along the way.

A Picturesque Outdoor Ceremony

Sarah and Dan exchanged vows outside in the picturesque grounds of Ufton Court. The lush gardens provided a romantic setting for their ceremony, with gorgeous florals and the gentle sound of a nearby fountain. As a Ufton Court Wedding Photographer, I always love photographing outdoor ceremonies here—the natural light and historic charm make for timeless images.

Capturing the emotion and details

From the moment Sarah walked down the aisle to the couple’s first kiss as newlyweds, every emotional moment was a joy to capture. Ufton Court’s outdoor spaces offered plenty of vantage points to document heartfelt reactions from family and friends, ensuring none of the day’s special details were missed.

Canapés & Mingling Indoors

After the ceremony, the wedding party moved inside for canapés. The grand indoor hall at Ufton Court provided a perfect spot for guests to mingle, laugh, and share in the excitement of the day. I took the opportunity to photograph candid moments—everything from the newlyweds greeting loved ones to children sneaking extra treats from the canapé trays!

A Candlelit Barn Reception

Sarah and Dan chose Ufton Court’s charming barn for their wedding breakfast. The barn’s rustic wooden beams, illuminated by flickering candles, set a warm and romantic ambiance. As dinner commenced, heartfelt speeches were shared, accompanied by plenty of laughter and the occasional happy tear. Photographing in this intimate atmosphere allowed me to capture the genuine connection that surrounded the couple.

Candlelit receptions can sometimes pose a challenge for photographers, but the barn’s soft, golden glow offered an enchanting backdrop for this celebration. By carefully positioning my equipment and adapting to the low-light setting, I preserved the atmosphere while ensuring Sarah and Dan’s images remained vivid and clear.

Garden Games and Sunset Strolls

After the wedding breakfast, guests headed back outside to enjoy garden games, drinks, and a moment of fresh air. Ufton Court’s expansive lawns were ideal for giant lawn games, providing endless laughter and opportunities for candid shots. As the sun began to set, I captured romantic portraits of the newlyweds strolling hand in hand against the soft evening light.

First Dance in the Barn

The festivities continued into the evening, with Sarah and Dan’s first dance back in the beautifully lit barn. Surrounded by cheering family and friends, they shared a tender moment on the dance floor. Photographing their beaming smiles and the whimsical atmosphere truly highlighted the joy that radiated throughout the day.
